What is the educational background of Jeanne Cahill?
How does Jeanne Cahill provide care to his patients?
Jeanne Cahill is currently in her third year of Master’s-level training in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Wilmington University. She has an undergraduate degree in Psychology, also from WilmU. After a long career as a court stenographer here in Wilmington, Jeanne decided to leave the courtroom, where she was a silent witness to what she calls “the second worst day of people’s lives, talking about their very worst day,” and become an active participant in helping people deal with their pain. It is truly a labor of love.
Jeanne believes that emotional discomfort and, often, real pain is inevitable for all people because life often brings with it challenges, disappointments, and roadblocks. These things do not have to lead to prolonged suffering, however. Jeanne is very interested in learning and sharing, through practicing acceptance, examining thoughts, and challenging long-held beliefs, how to not only get through challenges, but to learn from them and emerge on the other side with greater knowledge, strength, and joy. Jeanne also has a strong interest in helping people improve their relationships by learning to stay open, authentic, and loving, while maintaining healthy boundaries.
